As of September 16, we are returning to our roots and will be serving meals in Goar Park every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Noon. Bisbee's local Freemasons Lodge has notified us that the group is no longer able to host due to insurance complications.
There will be no interruption of service! This will be a temporary home base as our staff and board actively pursue multiple options for a new place to set up shop.
Of course, meals are just one part of what we do. Goar Park Lunches is also an essential community space where folks can convene, sip a coffee, grab a breakfast bar, get out of the heat, and shop the pantry. This is front of mind as we pursue a new home for our operation.
Extra special thanks are due to the City of Bisbee for working with us to accommodate this transition and for providing a space under City Park where we can continue our Little Free Pantry service.
We are sincerely grateful to you, our partners and the community at large for joining us in the mission to support food security and foster neighborism in Bisbee. We may be asking for a little creative help as we work things out.
Stay tuned, and see you at lunch!
